Dwayne The Rock Johnson Joins DC Universe As The Rebellious Black Adam; Shares First Look And Release Date
Is there anything Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock can’t do? We guess not! Well, adding another feature to his already-occupied cap, the wrestler-turned-actor has now joined the likes of Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Aquaman, among several other superheroes, The Rock has turned superhero Black Adams for the DC Universe. Yes, you read that right! The Jumanji actor, who once kicked a lot of asses in the ring, will now be knocking out the evil from the world. Taking to his social media, Johnson shared this exciting news with fans, along with a glimpse of his first look in this new DC venture.

The picture is an animated version of The Rock decked up as superhero Black Adam and as the name suggests, the actor was wearing a black uniform with a logo somewhat similar to that of the Flash and a black torn cape. Not to miss the intensity in his eyes that would scare that hell out of anyone out there. In his caption, the actor stated how he always dreamt of being a superhero and finally his fantasy is turning into reality. “Like most kids growing up, I dreamed about being a superhero. Having cool superpowers, fighting for what’s right and always protecting the people. It all changed for me, when I was 10yrs old and was first introduced to the greatest superhero of all time – SUPERMAN,” read a part of his caption.

Elaborating more on his character, The Rock, wrote, “Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA I had as a kid - my superhero dreams have come true. I’m honored to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it’s a true pleasure to become, BLACK ADAM. BLACK ADAM is blessed by magic with the powers equal to SUPERMAN, but the difference is he doesn’t toe the mark or walk the line. He’s a rebellious, one of a kind superhero, who’ll always do what’s right for the people - but he does it his way. Truth and justice - the BLACK ADAM way. This role is unlike any other I’ve ever played in my career and I’m grateful to the bone we’ll all go on this journey together.”
